Pundit Ballon d'Or final confirmed as Keane and Wright clash in heavyweight bout
You've voted in your droves across almost a month, carving away at our 30-strong Pundit Ballon d'Or field as we endeavour to crown the nation's greatest. Now, just two names are left standing.
An adept analyst can provide the perfect backdrop to the weekend footy. There is no better feeling than whacking on the telly and a voice like butter is there to preview your team's fixture. But, on the other hand, the mute button can become your best friend should a grating mic-merchant be on duty come Saturday afternoon.
There's also the option of hurling the remote at the screen altogether... That's why, here at Mirror Football, we deemed it necessary to find out just who the public reckon is the finest about. And after four rounds and thousands of votes, we have our showpiece...
Roy Keane, who for the umpteenth time is just doing his job when he steps into the studio, has been a fan favourite since day one and hasn't really seen another challenger thus far. But the Beanied Nightmare, Ian Wright, is who he faces in a finale for the ages.
One last time, we require your help. Do you prefer the deadpan Irish mumblings of Keane or cool-uncle Wrighty's takes? Get to voting right now!
As Keane and Wright duke it out, let's take a look at how the semi-finals unfolded. Similar to the final showdown, Wrighty's final-four opponent was one of his Overlap colleagues, Gary Neville.

But there'll be no croissants, pain au chocolat or Huel extended to the Arsenal striker next time they film, as Wright was utterly dominant. He picked up just shy of 60 per cent of the votes, sending him packing like Valencia at the Nou Camp.
Keano's semi-final clash was equally as one-sided. He was pitted against Beeb hero Alan Shearer.
Unlike their clash in 2001, when the United icon was sent off for lobbing the ball at the Newcastle legend and trying to take a swipe, it was Keane who laughed last.

He picked up 67 per cent of the votes, which is quite fitting, really, given he'd spontaneously combust if hit with the 6-7 gesture by a hysterical kid.
