Ranking of the best players in world football revealed in EA SPORTS FC27's new ratings - with just ONE Premier League player set to star in the top 10

Football game company EA Sports have revealed their top-rated players for the upcoming FC27 game, with only one Premier League player making the top ten.

The newest edition of the game, formerly called FIFA, will be fully released on September 25, with fans able to play on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Amazon Luna.

To build anticipation for its release, EA has revealed official ratings, with the gradings for the world's top stars revealed.

There is no outright leader in terms of the highest rated men's players – with Kylian Mbappe and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland both rated 91.

There are then a further nine players just behind them on 90, including Barcelona-bound Rodri – meaning Haaland will be the only Premier League star in the top ten once the Spanish midfielder's transfer to the La Liga champions is confirmed.

Rodri is joined by Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Thibaut Courtois and Jude Bellingham.

There are then three Premier League players rated 89 in Gianluigi Donnarumma, Bruno Fernandes and Gabriel.

Mbappe was also the highest-rated men's player in FC26 at 91, joined by Mohamed Salah.

There is, meanwhile, a clear front-runner in the women's selection. Alexia Putellas, who joined London City Lionesses from Barcelona this summer, takes the crown with a 91 rating, closely followed by former team-mate Aitana Bonmati and Khadija Shaw of Manchester City who are rated 90.

More player ratings are set to be released in the coming days, with the top Premier League stars announced at 4pm BST on Tuesday.
