Marmoush joins Spurs on loan

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Omar Marmoush from Manchester City on a season-long loan, with the deal including a reported £60 million obligation to make the move permanent next summer.
The Egypt international is set to become another major addition to Roberto De Zerbi’s squad during a remarkable summer of spending, with Spurs having already committed more than £300m to strengthening their team.
Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 and made 62 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals. His move comes just days after Spurs also completed a blockbuster deal for City winger Savinho, with the Brazilian arriving in a package worth around £85m.
The north London side have been one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs this summer, also bringing in Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke, while Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi have arrived on free transfers.
Marmoush becomes the latest part of De Zerbi’s rebuild as Tottenham prepare for the new season. The Italian manager took charge in March and helped secure Premier League survival before being handed significant backing in the transfer market.
